[/i] ?" Deme paused in the doorway of the restaurant just as the bell chimed indicating a new customer. Sleepy, doe like eyes wandered over to a petite red head carrying a tray full of dirty dishes. Frowning slightly he walked forward and closed the door behind him before heading towards a clean table. He was wearing a white t-shirt with a young David Bowie's face on it, skinny jeans and sneakers. He was a bit dirty from the fall he did, as well. " Uh, I biffed off a quarter pipe, " he replied as he slid his skate board under the table before sliding into the booth to sit. Now that he thought about it, his head was pounding from the fall and so was the right side of his cheek, where he knew a bruise was plainly shown. Of course he had to make an ass of himself at the skate park. Thats what you get for checking out some chick who wore a too tight shirt and strutted around. Deme obviously deserved to do a face plant and bonk his head off the rail. Yup. " You gotta be more careful, sugar, " the girl continued as she carefully got a better grip on the tray. " Anyway, what can I get you .. the usual ? " Deme nodded and watched as the waitress walked off to get his order. A glass of cola and a large plate of french fries, with mayo on the side. It was really unhealthy to be eating all that everyday, since he comes here often. But he didn't care. He loved fast food as long as it didn't contain animal. He was a strict vegetarian since he was ten years young. A few times he slipped up only to be tricked into eating meat - so, that wouldn't count on his record. But while he waited for his food he stuck small ear buds into each ear and pulled out his ipod. Scrolling through to find a song, he reached up with his other hand to take off his hat and set it down on the table. Without having to look he knew his hair was sticking up and going all wild on him. Fuck, he hated his hair but being a skin head didn't look good on him. Instead he started to pat the hair down and smooth the palm of his hand over it. Much as he couldn't stand his hair the band around the hat was starting to make his scalp itchy. Finally landing on a song, happening to be Cee Lo Green's ' fuck you ' ( hey, it's catchy aiight ? ) He shoved the ipod back into his jeans pocket and leaned back in his seat, arm draped over the back as he watched people pass by outside. It felt like the whole room averted their eyes to the entrance when a panicked Kendall Leyton barged through the door. His eyes were wide with a serious emotion, and mere helplessness beamed off of his body, for he was barging into every building for the past twenty minutes. "By any chance, do you have a phone I could use?" he asked with sincerity. He prayed that this establishment would just give him that simple luxury of a phone call.
The male staff that was walking by looked at Kenny with a curious look. "Yes, Sir," he began. "Right this way." The blonde boy was relieved that he finally had some success, and let out a long, drawn out sigh. His lungs hurt because he was wondering around in the heat for such a long time, but instead of complaining he followed the employee to the restroom area where, magically, stood a py phone. Kenny just smiled with relief at it as he dug through his pocket for his wallet. He turned to the helpful man and muttered a 'thank you' timidly while he punched in the number to his sister's phone. After a few rings her pretty voice answered, almost curious on who would have called her. "Hey, it's Kenny. I have a problem..."
A long conversation was held about his horrible day, which first started at failing at an interview, to how his car died in front of the place he tried to apply at. He was trying his best to find a phone to call her, since he couldn't afford a cell phone yet, to get a ride from her. "Well yes, I know, I'm sorry. I didn't realize my lights were on..." he admitted, his voice quiet and apologetic. "Yeah, I'll wait here. See you in a bit." Kenny was about to hang up, but instead he fit in a "Thank you," for he feared that she wouldn't pick him up in the first place. Kenny always questioned the kindness of others toward him. But a small smile spread across his face when she assured that it wasn't anything to worry about.
So the waiting game begins. Kenndall decided to take a seat, and maybe just amuse himself until his sister arrived. He couldn't help but glance at a young man eating his food across from him. Biting his lip, he grabbed his wallet again. Slapping it onto the table in defeat, he just laid his head onto the cold table top as he questioned why life just kept getting harder. 'I think their might be some ramen at the apartment...' he pondered. Signaling someone, he asked for a glass a water and just patiently waited, looking at lap. He was never good at being in public alone, for it made him uneasy as if all eyes were on him. 'And with an entrance like that... oh god.' So instead, he just tried to pay attention to how hungry he was instead of the fact that he must look like the village freak right now.
