ashlyn had a pretty average home life. her parents didn't break up, sure, they fought a bit, but they never broke up or anything. she has four brothers, and they all grew up on a farm, so that's probably why she acts like a guy sometimes. when she was fifteen, though, her best friend died in a car crash. she was sort of in love with her best friend, although if someone asked her about it, she'd deny it until she was blue in the face. or something like that. anyway, they were at a party, and her best friend had to go home, and ashlyn and her best friend had originally planned to walk home, since it wasn't that far, but he ended up going home with a girl. the girl, rebecca, was being driven home, but the person who was supposed to be driving probably wasn't the best person for the job, seeing as he was pretty drunk. and so, a bit more than halfway up the road, they crashed into a car that was driving on the other side of the road. from that day, she swore to never drink again, although she hasn't been doing too well keeping that promise. she believes she is responsible for not stopping her best friend from getting into that car, and she hates her self because of it. but she likes to think she hides that pretty well, along with the scars caused by her self-harming. only two people know of the fact she self harms, and that's her brother, robbie, and her best friend's brother, who she got quite close to after her best friend died. she doesn't self harm as much anymore, since most of the time she's too high to care about anything.
