the character

zane's a pretty nice person once you know him. unlike 90% of guys his age, he's not an asshole. he used to be, but he grew up. he's still the same zane that loves guitar hero and all those other video games, and who loves to crack lame jokes, and who's pretty dirty-minded, but he realised that life's pretty lonely without friends. he doesn't like to see his friends sad, and he'll do pretty much anything to cheer them up. he loves having fun and pulling pranks. he's the person you could call up and demand that he comes out with you, and he'll come along with you. he likes to smoke and drink, and he goes to parties frequently. he's not a complete whore, but he's not innocent, either. he's crazy, he's fun, he's loud, and he's even more fun when drunk. zane loves hugs, he's like a big teddybear, really. he's that type of guy that'll give you chocolate and flowers if you don't have a valentine on valentines day, just because he can. he's really stubborn at times, once his mind is made up about something, it's pointless trying to get him to change it. he's also very protective, especially of his sister, because of what happened to her, and his mother.

zane had a fairly average childhood. his father and his mother fought a lot, and his father eventually left his mother. but zane was really too young to remember that. when he was about sixteen, his little sister, juliet, who was fifteen at the time, started dating this guy. he seemed perfect and all, but zane wasn't so sure. at a party one night, which zane was at, juliet was raped by her boyfriend. zane eventually found her sitting on the grass outside their house, crying. she wouldn't tell him what happened at first, but when she did, he got really, really pissed, as any brother would. he found the guy, and punched him. and that led into a fight, which eventually got really out of hand and the two were arrested. zane was in juvenile detention for a year, and his asshole personality developed during that time. when he was about eighteen, he went to another party, and got this girl pregnant. unlike most guys, he didn't deny it was his, because he was never told. and he's still clueless about it to this day. after that, he sort of grew up and realised that being an asshole got you nowhere. and here he is now.
