The usual noise filled the shop, a perfect combination that put Sebastian in a pleasant mood. The buzz of the tattoo guns as the needles shot into flesh hundreds of times per minute, the angry music playing in the background, the chatter of the artists and the customers as they told stories back and forth, the crumple of paper as Sebastian destroyed yet another drawing in progress. An annoyed noise escaped the long haired man. Some days, he just couldn’t get something right. ”That looked fine.” Luke ushered, picking up the crumpled piece of paper and flattening it out and placing it back down in front of his apprentice.
The drawing he was working on was a work in progress for a customer. They had come in a few days before with a grand idea of a chest piece, filled with elaborate details and many pictures all pushed into one small area. Sebastian personally loved chest pieces; his own filled with bright colors stuck out against the plain black tank top he wore. The colors stretched up his neck in the form of a diamond, the top of a skull just barely visible along with the wings that attached to it. But designing them? Well that was a whole other thing; it had taken him quite some time to get his own worked out. Luckily this customer was someone with a lot of time, and was in no rush for the drawing to be complete. So he was free to work on it inbetween other things without the jeopardy theme song blasting in his conscious 24/7. One thing Sebastian had come to hate was people who came in and demanded a work of art to be done within a short period of time. Masterpieces took time after all.
Sebastian stared at the drawing for a few minutes; Luke had long walked off to go back to work. With a grunt, he turned in his chair and looked back at his laptop screen. Moving his fingers to his lips, he stuck the pencil in his mouth and began typing. After a few seconds he pushed himself so he spun back around to his work table, pushing the work in progress aside and pulled out a sketch book instead. Flipping the pages he stopped at one with a sun lightly sketched on, his fingers curling around a black pen and bringing it to the drawing. Quietly he began darkening the sketch, teeth biting at his bottom lip softly and tugging at a lip ring.
”What’s next, fairies and daisys?” Another artist was peering over his shoulder. Tilting his head back, Sebastian peered at him lazily around his black and blond bangs. ”It’s an idea.” He answered softly. ”Tattoo?” The guy asked, tilting his head. ”Mhm.” Sebastian replied with a smirk on his lips. The artist shook his head and laughed, ”You’re lucky your girlfriend likes tattoos.” And oh, how he had no idea. Well actually, Sebastian was certain that he did. Keaton came around a lot after all. Usually before or after work, depending on when her shift was and if he was working yet or at all.
His girlfriend was a normal face to be seen around the shop now, which was amusing to Sebastian. Hell, the woman had even started showing up enough that there was a spare seat next to him at the front desk so she would have somewhere to sit when she appeared. For the most part he used it as a foot rest, like now, as he sat with his back twisted slightly so he could use the desk to draw on. Drumming his fingers on the desk, the man peered back towards his laptop. Keaton wasn’t online, which meant she was either sleeping, or at work. ”Where is she? We want our cookies.” Sebastian snorted, looking back over at the man. ”She promised me girlscout cookies, not you. Stop trying to steal things from my girlfriend.” He laughed, shaking his head and causing his messy hair to shift on his head, bangs sliding back into his face.
But Sebastian found himself peering towards the door as the bell chimed, heart skipping a beat in hopes of seeing his girlfriend. Nope, just one of the artists coming back from lunch with some damn good smelling In-N-Out. Sebastian’s eyes followed them as they passed by, his mouth watering as the smell lingered by. After a few seconds he looked back at his desk, picking up pieces of paper and trash in hopes that there would be some sort of food hiding, waiting to be eaten by him. When the top was searched through, he began opening drawers and digging through those. And yet there was still nothing to be found. Groaning, Sebastian dropped his head onto the desk on his sketchbook, hiding the drawing, and closed his eyes. ”Sebastian hungrrryyy.” He moaned loudly, running his fingers through his long hair in hopes that it would comfort him, and allow him to forget about the new found hunger pains painfully rippling through his stomach.

i'll taste like summer on a stormy winter night,YOU TASTE LIKE FIRE, BURNING EVERYTHING IN SIGHTKeaton yawned as she let the covers fall to the floor, she was always a heavy sleeper and it never failed to have the sheets all in a tangled mess with her limbs and for the comforter to be pulled out of the end of the bed, the girl was a messy sleeper, and she always made a mess out of a bed, whether it was intentional or not.. Often times Sebastian didn't have to deal with seeing it, but he had experienced it for sure. She was cute and peaceful when she was getting ready to sleep or halfway there, but when it came to actually sleeping, the girl moved around far too much to keep a bed in neat order, she had recalled many times where she had woken him up with a drifting hand or a jerk against him. Poor boy, it was a wonder he slept as good as he did, not only that, but it was a wonder he hadn't taken permanent residence on the couch.
But now as she was waking up slowly she couldn't help but let a silly grin spread on her features as she blinked her eyes open, taking in the room. It wasn't long before she heard nails scratching against the floor to see Bentley peek his head around the corner, seeing if she was awake and moving before bounding over and jumping quickly onto the bed, Keaton groaned softly as she pushed at the puppy, noooo, bentleyyy, no morning puppy kisses she said scrunching her nose a bit as she continued to apply pressure to the young bulldog's face. The puppy had been sort of a present, but it was for the both of them, she had wanted a dog, but she had wanted him because of sebastian, getting a dog together had been 'that next step' and although it didn't really make sense, it was a fun thought now seeing as she lived with sebastian now and they both cared for the dog equally.
With a soft sigh the girl managed to push the puppy off the bed delicately, laughing a little when he couldn't maintain his balance and headed to the shower. It was already eleven a.m. and she knew exactly where her boyfriend was. At work. It was sort of a love and hate relationship Keaton had with his job. On one hand she was more then happy that he had such a successful job and she was glad that he loved it as much as she did, but on the other hand.. she missed waking up to him in the morning sometimes. She knew she still got to sometimes.. but it made a difference when you didn't wake up alone. She knew it was a luxury she had gotten used to ever since moving in with him, she wouldn't even lie, it was beginning to spoil her.
It wasn't long before Keaton stripped down and took a shower, drying off with one of the towels she had demanded they get when they had been out one day. Keaton was that way sometimes, he was a male after all, towels and decor weren't really his thing, and she could tell. As soon as she had moved in with him it had been a colorful mess, but she had helped a great deal, and the apartment looked wonderful, she was quite pleased with her work and she was sure Sebastian was pleased with the random luxuries it brought his way. Like these soft and fuzzy towels for instance. She loved him, and she knew for sure he had to as well. Really, who in their right mind would turn down the feeling of a soft and warm towel after a nice shower. Certainly not Keaton.
Getting ready for her day the girl sighed as she walked into the apartment's small kitchen, her eyes wandering around the place for a moment before giggling softly, taking out the necessary ingredients and utensils to make cookies. This was dangerous.. she knew, but the girl loved surprises and if she could, she would have a surprise ready for her boyfriend everyday he came home, or better yet.. her bring them to him. Luckily enough, the bar had called in this morning and told her that someone had decided to take her shift this afternoon, meaning the girl had the whole day for herself, which was why she had slept in so late. And now, here she was about to make cookies to bring to him and the rest of the shop for that matter, she knew how much they enjoyed the cookies that usually Sebastian and herself made, although.. that was just it.. usually sebastian was there.
It didn't matter to her, she was going to try, and after half the batter being dumped onto the floor and flour going everywhere the girl shoved the pan of cookies into the oven and waited the ten minutes the recipe had told her to wait. Not even bothering to do anything but read a magazine as she waited, quickly getting up to retrieve the pan of cookies and scoop them up into a bowl, placing a lid on top of them and making her way to the shop quickly. Of course, to her dismay the girl never bothered to look in the mirror and so she was completely ignorant of the flour marks on her nose and cheek as she walked into the shop, cookies in hand, smiling at the men she saw at the front desk, catching the last part of her boyfriend's statement and giggling softly, ... so i'm guessing i came at the right time? she said with a subtle wink, walking closer and putting the cookies in front of the men.

Sebastian had been so engulfed in his own woes of hunger that the sound of the bell jingling in the doorway had missed him completely. It wasn’t uncommon for the young man to block things out though, especially when there were other things on his mind. More important things, like now. The hunger pains definitely trumped the sound of the door opening. What caught his attention though was the sudden smell of cookies. Not burnt cookies, but delicious warm cookies that was pleasant enough that it caused his mouth to water accompanied by his stomach protesting once more. Man those smelled really fucking good.
Just as he opened his eyes a familiar giggle filled the air. Ah, yes he knew that giggle well. The corners of his lips curled into a wide smile, one that stretched across his pierced lips and would eventually cause the muscles in his cheeks to hurt if it stayed long enough. Sebastian lifted his head quickly, brown eyes scanning his surroundings for his girlfriend. And when he found her, the moment his eyes spotted the beautiful young woman, his lips cracked open and a loud laugh escaped him. It was the sort of laugh that you couldn’t stop, the very thought of laughing hadn’t crossed his mind. It just happened. And after he laughed, Sebastian lifted a hand and briefly covered his mouth to keep himself from laughing more. Keaton would probably think he was laughing at her, and well..he was, but he didn’t want to risk upsetting her. Especially if she came to the conclusion that he was laughing at her efforts to bake.
”Babe..” Another laugh escaped him after his words. With a grin he moved his legs off the extra chair and stood up. Reaching out he gently took her hand and pulled her close. As much as he wanted to leave the flour there, it was something that needed to be removed. Keaton obviously had made a mess while creating these cookies. Cookies which, he was unsure would be edible or not. Her baking, and cooking, was always questionable but Sebastian always at least tried it so she was never discouraged. ”Am I going to come home and find the kitchen a mess?” He asked, teasing her gently with a kind smile. Slowly his hands moved to her neck, thumbs resting on her jaw bone as he pulled her closer. He leaned down and dragged his tongue up her cheek, licking up the small amount of flour that was spread across her cheek. ”Mmm, flour tastes good when it’s on you..” He muttered quietly, moving the edge of his hand across her cheek to wipe away the saliva he had left behind. With a small chuckle, he then brushed some off of her nose and asked, ”Is Bentley going to be covered in flour, just like my girlfriend, when I get home later?” Oh he could imagine that puppy rolling around in the mess Keaton had no doubt left behind after her baking adventure. Not that he mind, because she was always cleaning the place whenever he was off at work or not around. As much as he told her, his words meant nothing to her. But Sebastian wasn’t about to complain, it really was nice to have a clean home. His apartment had gone through a change since Keaton had come into his life. It had started with a cleaner place after she had been given a key. Apparently she liked to clean, which was beyond his comprehension really. No matter how many times he told her, she kept cleaning his place. She had also organized it and made it look a bit more normal. Before he had a lot of mismatching things, including plates, pillows, towels, and even the pillow cases on his bed had been different and the sheets on his bed hadn’t matched any of the pillow cases. Well, it had taken a good few weeks but eventually it wore out on Keaton’s patience and apparently OCD. Sebastian had recently allowed himself to be dragged around shopping, not that he entirely minded. He had been meaning to replace the stuff anyways, but lacked the real motivation to go shopping for it. Shopping for towels and shit was boring. Keaton had made it rather enjoyable though, especially with her picking up pink towels and lime green sheets and demanding they buy them. Sebastian finished brushing the flour off of her face, rubbing his hand on his thigh and smearing the white substance on his blue jeans. Ah well, he’d just have to wash them later. Smiling, he shook his head a little and turned his attention to the cookies and picked up the bowl. ”You made these, by yourself?” He asked as he pulled the lid off the bowl and stuck his hand in, fingers curling around a cookie and pulling it out. The bowl was set back down and he sat in his seat again, taking a bite out of the sugar cookie. A pleasant hum vibrated through his throat as he chewed on the cookie, surprised at how good it was. Raising his eyebrows at his girlfriend, he smiled and held up the cookie and said, ”Now this is a damn good cookie, I can taste all the love baked right into it.”[/blockquote]

i'll taste like summer on a stormy winter night,YOU TASTE LIKE FIRE, BURNING EVERYTHING IN SIGHTKeaton hadn't always been all that into surprises, she never really had felt the urgency to do something for someone out of kindness or compassion, because the girl honestly hadn't had any before sebastian, or well.. even then. It was just the way the girl fell in love that made her the way she was now, and she wasn't anywhere close to regretting it. Ever since letting him inside her broken heart he had done wonders for her, in every single way possible. The girl was all about surprises now, and it wasn't only for him, of course she didn't really have a lot of people to surprise with things, but he was the main receiver of her actions. Not only in that, but the girl was no longer cold-hearted, she could deal with people easier and honestly, her whole outlook on life had brightened considerably.
It was partially a reason that she couldn't help but love their 'song', it had come up as a subject randomly and honestly, it was a spur of the moment type of situation, but 'you are my sunshine was immediately deemed their 'song', and keaton couldn't help but admit that it was a little more accurate then Sebastian would ever know. Her life now was more of a sunshine, bright and happy with him in the picture, and without him things were just harder on her and honestly, she wouldn't even know how to describe it, she wouldn't want to in the first place. A thought that led to Keaton's life without Sebastian in the picture was a road she didn't want to have to go down. It may have sounded pathetic to some, but honestly, he was the reason she was this way now. It would be like taking a huge part of someone's life out and expecting them to be okay, she wouldn't be if anything ever happened to him, or if he chose not to be with her any longer.
It was amazing the love she had for the boy, in such a short period of time she had fallen so hard, and even know when it had almost been a year the girl was still in far too deep to ever think about turning back. She didn't want to, he had changed her for the better and she didn't want to go back. The girl's eyes fell upon the boy immediately as he looked up at her with a broad smile, and laughed! Keaton blinked softly, the smile still on place on her lips as he placed his hand over his mouth, tilting her head softly she let out a soft laugh herself, eying him softly and blinking still. Brushing it off her shoulders though she listened as he spoke, grinning softly as he began.
Keaton watched him carefully as he moved out of his chair and came closer to her, the smile on her lips growing significantly wider as he took her hand and pulled her in close. However, a slight pout appeared on her lips as she heard him, grinning and shaking her head softly. She knew she wasn't the best baker, she was far more aware of it then he would know. the girl didn't mind when he made fun of her for baking, she knew she couldn't most of the time without his help, she wouldn't blame him, if she were him she would pick on herself as well. It had never really bothered her before, and it didn't now. With a small shrug the girl laughed, and looked down, biting her lip softly and holding out her hands innocently, hey... you got cookies out of it, be happy. she said with a small giggle.
Softly, the girl couldn't help but shiver as his large hands were placed around her neck and his thumbs rested on her cheek bones lightly as he brought her impossibly closer, licking her cheek. Keaton's eyes grew wide as her face turned a soft shade of red, her eyes darting to the people in the room who so happened to be watching them, Sebastian! she whispered quietly, but loud enough for some to hear, she noted as she watched the soft smile spread across their faces. But before he could respond she was hearing his words, putting two and two together a minute and realizing that she had really made a mess.
oh... she said in a soft-spoken manner, blinking softly as she ducked her head slightly, get it offfffff. she said, leaning up to face him and pouting just a bit. I didn't have a lot on me did I? she said, wincing softly at the thought of how she must have looked to the people in the shop, making another soft blush creep across her cheeks. The girl's eyes closed softly and a laugh escaped her lips as she thought of their bulldog, who was covered in flour, she had noted it mentally before leaving to give him a bath later, how Sebastian knew he would be a mess the girl would never know. It was probably just one of those things. Taking a moment to answer him the girl bit her lip, ......maybe. she said, glancing down at the floor quickly and shrugging softly, almost innocently, but he knew better.
the girl smiled proudly as he asked her if she had made them all by herself, a part of her wanting to give him a sarcastic answer but the thought quickly dismissed itself as she opened her mouth to speak, the girl was slowly getting rid of the old keaton and honestly, she was happy to watch her leave. yes, i swear i did... so be careful as you eat them. she said giggling, her eyes roving around the shop to eye the men she knew would take a bite out of at least one, they always did. Sometimes they would have a pleasant surprise and other times she would watch them silently suffer as they chewed, too gentleman-like to spit it out in front of her. She didn't mind, she wasn't the best baker in the world, and she knew it far too well. Keaton laughed and nodded a bit in relief as she heard Sebastian, a simple noise was enough to let her know how much he appreciated them.
Keaton couldn't help but laugh as he raised his eyebrows and held the cookie up at her, grinning and sighing in relief that it was at least edible. of course, of course, every ounce of my love was baked into it, you're right. she said winking softly at him, her eyes wandering around the shop again to the men in it, knowing that they knew far too well how much love was really baked into them, and the love for them too. It wasn't the same obviously, but the girl had grown close to some of them after spending so much time there. She could honestly say that she cared for the people here, it was a good environment and she liked the fact that Sebastian worked there, it fit him, and so did the people. She was just glad that he was happy, that was all she would want for him in the first place.

A wide smile stretched across his lips as he listened to her. ”Oh, don’t get me wrong, I am happy.” Happy was probably an understatement, but Sebastian couldn’t think of a better fitting word off the top of his head. His life right now was perfect. He had the perfect girlfriend who loved him, and an amazing job. Things could only get better from this point. The lack of drama, hospital trips, break ups and fights were long in the past and where they rightfully belonged. Off the top of his head there were very little things that could make him unhappy. They were petty things, like having to wake up in the morning, or not getting to see his girlfriend all day every day, or that unruly hair day that popped up every so often.
”I am the happiest I’ve been in a long time, my dear.” A messy kitchen was well worth the happiness he felt. ”As long as you aren’t making a mess every single day..I don’t mind.” Keaton rarely cooked or baked though, so the kitchen stayed pretty clean for the most part. It was usually Sebastian that made it a mess since he usually cooked. And even when he did make the messes, Keaton usually beat him to cleaning it up.
A laugh escaped his lips as she reacted to his gesture, knowing from that second that she had no idea why he had done it. The sharp tone of her voice made him wonder if she was going to get annoyed and upset with her. He wouldn’t put it past her to attempt to scold him till she realized why he had done it. If she did, he was going to laugh the entire time. But after a few seconds it seemed she realized why he had done it, and now was asking him to get it off. Sebastian laughed, lifting his hand and wiping off her cheek to get rid of the saliva he had left on it. ”Nah, babe. I got it all off.” He assured her with a grin. ”Don’t be embarrassed..it looked cute.” A little too late though, she was already blushing. It just made her look all the more adorable. The smile on his lips grew a little.
”Like always.” He replied softly, taking another bite out of the cookie. Keaton always tried her best when it came to the cookies she made. Or anything for that manner. She was one of those people that poured all her heart and soul into something no matter how terrible it ended up coming out every time. Bless the little midget’s soul. It was probably the only thing that kept him trying her things she created, that and the fact that he loved her. He supported her in everything she did no matter how silly it was. That was what love was about, right? Sebastian reached out and wrapped his fingers around Keaton’s wrist, pulling her closer. ”I’ve been waiting for these all day.” He teased gently, grinning at the young woman. ”They’re the highlight of my day..along with seeing you, of course.”
Sebastian took yet another bite, chewing on it thoughtfully as he patted his lap, inviting his girlfriend to sit. ”How long do you plan on sticking around babe?” As far as he knew, she had nothing else to do today. Unless he was forgetting that she had to work later tonight. Either way he doubted she was going anywhere for a few minutes at least, and Sebastian was planning on sucking every second out of her that he possibly could get. One thing he could never get enough of was his loving Keaton. [/blockquote]
