Elizabeth Francis had been married for two years to the man she thought was the love of her life. The only downfall was that he was in the military and had recently been shipped off. It was a month after his departure that he was killed in the line of fire and Elizabeth had gotten the news she was pregnant. She was depressed to say the least and four months into her pregnancy on old flame came back into her life. Jonathan Francis had just lost his wife a year before and had a two year old son named Adam Francis. He and Elizabeth bonded and they were engaged five months after. It was a few weeks after the engagement on July 16th when Elizabeth went into labour. Jonathan sat in the waiting room with Adam and after eight hours of labour a beautiful baby girl was born. Whom they named Lillian Jade Francis. Lillian grew up looking more like the father she had never met then her mother. She had his bright green eyes and caramel coloured hair. Adam grew close to his step sister and swore to protect her no matter what. And that is exactly what he did all through their elementary school years. Lillian had a dream to be a dancer and had been enrolled in ballet at the age of three. She also had a beautiful voice which made her parents enroll her in vocal lessons as well so she could develop that skill. It was at the age of fifteen however that Lillian’s dream of being a dancer was taken away from her. She had began to notice strange bruises along her back and after tests it was determined that she had leukemia. Her parents were devastated. And Adam was heartbroken because he couldn’t protect his baby sister and turned to alcohol and drugs for relief. Lillian dropped dance and focused on singing. She lost her hair at the age of sixteen from radiation but then went into remission when she was seventeen and had all her hair back by the time she was eighteen. This thrilled her because she could finally help Adam and her parents could stop focusing on her and give him the help he needed. But at the age of nineteen she relapsed. At the age of twenty two she still has leukemia. She keeps that part of her life a secret though. She hasn’t been in a real relationship since she was fifteen because she thinks its unfair for someone to fall for her when her life isn’t guaranteed. She avoids getting close to boys for that reason.
