The sunlight streaming through her window was what woke Jasey on Saturday morning. She groaned and rolled over burying her face into her pillow hoping for just one more hour of sleep. It occurred to her about five minutes later that it was not going to happen. Sighing she kicked the blankets off of her body and swung her legs out of bed. The cold air of her house hit her skin causing goose bumps to rise along her bare legs and arms. Making her way to her bathroom she stripped from her clothes and stepped into the shower letting the warm water wash over her body allowing it to wake her up. Fifteen minutes later she was back in her room and changed into a bikini, jean shorts and a tank top. Running a brush through her blonde and brown hair she admired herself in her mirror. Jasey had always liked how she looked. She was never one of those girls who was self conscious. She had always been the girl who was perfectly fine with how she looked. She wasn’t fat and she wasn’t too skinny. She had big hazel eyes, long eye lashes, good height and delicate features. She was a catch to say the least. Although Jasey liked how she looked she also wasn’t the type of girl to rub it in or flaunt her body. She hated girls like that.
Jasey applied a small amount of make up to highlight her eyes before ruffling her hair and taking one last look in the mirror. She walked to the kitchen and grabbed an apple biting into it as she thought about what she should do that day. Her hazel eyes glanced outside where the sun was shining and it looked absolutely gorgeous out. It was the beginning of summer and she had spent a lot of her vacation inside already. She was bored and she figured the only way she wouldn’t be was if she went out. Smiling she finished her apple and headed back into her bedroom. Grabbing a bag she gathered things like her camera, a towel, sunglasses, a book, tanning lotion and her cell phone. After throwing them into the bag she slid on a pair of flip flops and headed out the door.
The sun beat down on her skin and though it was only ten it was already extremely hot outside. Sliding her sunglasses on Jasey walked, her flip flops hitting the pavement as she did. Her eyes scanned the surroundings as she moved. There wasn’t alot of people her age out but there was a lot of moms, dads, kids and people heading to work. Jasey had been in Kingsford her whole life and she knew alot of the people there. And for the most part they knew her. Jasey’s past wasn’t a big secret. Her dad had an affair and beat her. Her mother left and took her little brother with her. She now lived alone in the house her parents paid off years ago. Her dad showed up from time to time but she had no idea where her mother was.
By the time she reached the beach Jasey became lonely and began to crave company. Because honestly what fun was the beach when you were alone? Biting her bottom lip she walked along the warm sand to the center of the beach where there wasn’t many people yet. Just some mom’s sitting around reading books while their children played in the water. Sighing she pulled out her towel and laid it on the sand before sliding off her flip flops and sitting down. Her eyes scanned the beach for a familiar face. Anyone to keep her entertained.

It was very hard for Easy to finally open his eyes. By the time noon had rolled around he was still asleep. The comforter was over his face but not covering his feet and he was laying on his back, arms flailed about as well as his legs. And there was a slight snore escaping from his lips. It was about one in the afternoon when his mother came in and started to bitch and moan about wasting the day away. But did Easy really listen to her? Nah, not really. He just rolled onto his side and curled up into a ball before his mom threw the blanket over his face and groaned five more minutes. That’s how it was every day. Someone had to come and force him to wake up, and it was definitely worse in the summer. The boy could definitely sleep until four in the afternoon if he got the chance. That’s why he loved when his parents went away for a bit and left him and his brother home alone. That was usually the best part about having parents who hated doing nothing.
The boy stumbled through the house and found his way to the bathroom. Usually his routine was pretty simple in the morning. He had to always piss like a horse, so he used the bathroom first thing. Then, when that was done, he would go and get food. Usually he would have waffles or pancakes. Occasionally an apple would suffice, but most of the time it was the biggest breakfast known to man. And when that was all done he would either shower or just quickly get dressed and finally be on his merry way. That’s how it went all the time, and there was definitely nothing changing about today. So when he sat down his younger brother was already munching away at his cocoa puffs and had about half the bowl on his shirt. Easy smirked and sat down, pouring himself a bowl. “Attractive.” He told the little squirt before munching on the best cereal known to man.
When he was done eating and finally had gotten dressed he ran a hand through his hair he grabbed his skate board and also grabbed a hat. It was a very nice day to go skateboarding, and why not just do it by the beach? There were always hot girls there, and even though he was still sort of hung up on someone, it did not mean he could appreciate any other of the girls that god so graciously put on this planet. Not being tied down was definitely a good thing, considering that he did not have to worry about being in big trouble about ‘wandering eyes’ so yeah, that was definitely his plan. His bided his mom a goodbye and merely patted the top of his brothers hair before walking out the door. It was typical for his father to never be home. He was surprised honestly that his mom was still married to his dad, but hey whatever worked.
Easy shoved his headphones into his ears and threw his skateboard onto the ground as he climbed on top of it and pushed himself forward. If he had to pick one thing that he could be able to do with his life it would be a professional skateboarder. And he definitely practiced a lot. In fact, he usually got his brother involved as well. But that was a different story. But the way to the beach was a nice one. The sun was shining and it was not too hot nor was it too cold. It was just content for the boy although the fact that he had worn a white shirt and a pair of regular denim shorts helped a lot too.
By the time he had gotten to the beach he found a couple of his friends hanging out by the water. So he set down his baby and kicked off his sandles before looking around and noticing a familiar face. Of course Jasey she would be here, and he had definitely gotten to know her once or twice. So he got up and walked over towards her before he casually made his way towards her and sat down, staring at the water. “fancy meeting you here.” he said, now looking at her with a smile on his face.

As the sun beat down on her Jasey sighed and removed the shirt covering her bikini top. She leaned back on her arms and scanned the beach. It was beginning to get more crowded and she recognized a few of the people around from her school. In fact a lot of them were from her class. They acknowledged her with a wave and she smiled slightly and waved back before pulling her gaze from them to the sky. Jasey was a nice enough person, sure she could be bitch sometimes but if you wanted to be her friend you had to be able to deal with that. You also had to deal with the fact that she was brutally honest and didn’t really care what people thought of her. But she was a loyal friend if you spent the time to get to know her.
Jasey noticed another person joining her classmates with a skateboard. She smiled as she recognized Easy. She and him had an interesting relationship to say the least, he was one of the few people she considered a friend. Jasey’s smile widened as Easy approached her and she kept her gaze forward as he sat next to her. “fancy meeting you here.”
. His comment made her giggle and she turned her hazel eyes to look at him. She smiled brushing her fingers through her hair before shrugging. ’’I could say the same about you’’ she replied a small blush creeping up her cheeks as she looked away. Her hazel eyes scanned the beach and she reached her fingers up brushing her hair away from her face. Lifting her sunglasses from eyes she placed them to the side and brought her gaze back to the boy sitting beside her. Easy was an attractive boy and that was something Jasey noticed from the first time she saw him. With his brown hair, gorgeous eyes and sexy piercings it was a mystery to her that a boy like him would be single. Jasey sighed tilting her head to the side as she watched him. ‘’So whats a gorgeous boy like you doing chatting up a girl like me when the beach is full of bikini clad girls?’’ she questioned him teasingly as she smiled at him and scooted her body closer to his. Nudging him playfully she giggled turning her gaze back to the water as she sighed. Jasey watched his friends play around and she wondered if maybe Easy wanted to be with them instead and he was just sitting with her to be polite. But Jasey pushed those thoughts away if Easy wanted to leave he could and she was sure he knew that. She drew her gaze away from the water and back to him a smile still upon her lips as she leaned against his side and waited for a reply. Easy looked at the girl that was next to him now. She was definitely a pretty girl, that much was fact. Usually her hair was a different color every other week, but maybe that’s what made her appealing. And she was especially pale, but Easy never really liked tanned girls. Just look at the people he’s dated, they were all super pale. And the girl had a pretty smile, that much was certain as well. But, even though Easy would never admit it to anyone, she was not Hollis. He knew that there were still feelings inside for her, after all she had been the one he lost his virginity too, and even though he is a guy it was still sort of a big deal. Especially because everyone in his family still thinks he’s a skateboarding virgin. And it kind of sucked actually, especially when his older cousin was the big player of the family. It seemed that every family had at least one player, but that was another story.
Honestly he did not mind being with the girl. Hollis obviously minded it, but Easy not so much. He looked over at her and checked her out before looking back at the water, his cheeks turning a little bit red as she answered him back. He then ran a hand through his hair in an attempt to make it stop blowing in his eyes but it obviously failed. His hair just got more in his face and he sighed, before giving up. Maybe it was time for a hair cut, that was probably a good idea. So he put his full attention back to the bright haired girl before him. It was then that she asked him a question. One that actually made him grinned. then he shrugged before answering. “well I was thinking that a gorgeous girl like you should have someone to keep all the creeps away. So, here I am protecting you if you really want to get technical.” he said before winking at her. That was probably the lamest excuse in the book as a reason but, well Easy did not care.
He tried to push his hair out of his face again and succeeded. Then he looked back at the water before his eyes turned towards his friends who were getting sodas from the soda machine. Then he turned back to Jasey, thinking of something to do. It was not that he did not want to sit here, but sometimes he needed to be entertained. He had a slight case of ADD obviously, and it was starting to come into full swing. But the problem was he did not know what to do. In all honesty his friends were kind of dumb. It was probably a maturity thing, and where as Easy was quite immature he could do seriousness while his friends made everything about sex jokes and dirty stuff. And the funny thing was, Easy was the only one who wasn’t a virgin in his group of friends so honestly, it was kind of pathetic. But hey, what can you do?

Jasey continued to smile as she sat next to Easy. He wasn’t a difficult person to get along with and perhaps that’s why Jasey liked him so much. He understood her more than other boys did. He knew she wasn’t looking for a relationship and he knew she didn’t just mindlessly sleep around like his friend Hollis thought. Jasey actually wasn’t the type of person to sleep around with everyone she met. She had to like the person, he had to respect her and even if it may have been just a onetime thing she wanted to feel something. Something more than just sex. Even if she didn’t do relationships it didn’t mean she didn’t have feelings. Easy was someone she had feelings for. She was sure he knew that and it would never be more than feelings. But it was these feelings that made her relationship with him possible.
Jasey saw his eyes glance over her and she blushed as she pushed her hair from her eyes. She turned her gaze to him and watched his cheeks tint red at her comment which made her smile widen. Her hazel eyes then shifted back to the water as the waves hit the shore and rolled back into the ocean. She sighed as she watched the water it looked inviting. His next comment broke her concentration and caused her to laugh loudly. She looked back at him as she leaned against his side gently. ’’Awh my hero’’
she replied teasingly watching his gaze shift to the water. Jasey followed his gaze and smiled. She knew Easy had a hard time sitting in one place for too long and as she watched his gaze travel to his friends she frowned. For seniors they were pretty immature and not to mention Jasey found them extremely annoying. If she wanted to keep Easy around she would have to think of something for them to do. Biting her bottom lip she scanned the beach looking back at the inviting water. She smiled standing slowly and reaching her hand down to Easy. ‘’How would you like to join this gorgeous girl on a swim?’’ she smiled waiting for his reply as she kept her gaze on him. Easy had always gotten along with Jasey. She was a sweet girl and she usually knew what the hell she was talking about. And even though he had slept with her a couple times she still did not really expect a relationship out of him, which he did not want right now in all honesty. Sure, having a girlfriend was nice and it was kind of fun saying that said girl was his but he also liked having the freedom to flirt with anyone he wanted and he also liked having the freedom to do whatever he wanted with anyone he wanted. Although, sometimes Hollis had said otherwise, but it just made him smirk and shake his head when she got all upset about something like that. And he also found Jasey to be very intelligent and extremely attractive, which always made boys want to snatch up girls like that, so it’s not like Jasey would not be able to have a relationship with someone. So he just smiled at that thought. She was easy on the eyes, she was smart and actually pretty good in bed, if he did say so himself, although he had not had as much experience in that department as some guys did. But whatever, technicalities were lame.
The boy also noticed that she had a lovely smile. But, then again so did most girls. Unless they had some train wreck going on in their mouth smiles usually made Easy melt. Then he smirked as she called him her hero, and he even smiled a little bit wider about the fact that she had totally just leaned on his side. Then he shrugged his shoulders, indicating that it was no biggie. It really was not a biggie, and he really did want to protect her from the perves. It felt like that was his duty as her friend and all, so he would do it whether he wanted to or not. “I should go buy a superman costume and just wear it when you’re around.” And knowing easy, he would probably do it if he had enough money and all.
It was easy to look at his friends and wonder why their parents had been allowed to produce offspring. It probably did not help that he was friends with most of the stoners in school, but Easy never really found the benefit in doing drugs. Occasionally he would drink and he had started to pick up on smoking cigarettes but other than that it was just a waste of time. But he snapped out of this thoughts when Jasey asked him to swim. So he shrugged in response. “I don’t see why not. It’d be fun to actually go in the water for a change.
” he grinned before standing up and taking off his shirt and his sandals. Then he let Jasey lead the way, since she was a girl and all and he was a gentleman. Or, most of the time he was.
