The pretty little airheaded seventeen year old ran her fingers through her blonde - pink hair, and gave the mirror a confident grin. Sun danced across her face as it spilled in from the window close to her. The day was gorgeous. Warm and beautiful, just like Cameron liked. The minute she had thrown herself out of bed on that glorious day her mind was already made up. With or without company, she was leaving the house to spend time outside, and as soon as possible. It was nine in the morning on a Saturday, and she was sure most teens - granted, most people that weren't working - wouldn't be awake yet. Although Cameron enjoyed company, she would do without - the day was way too sunny to pass up.
She breathed out softly, that little smile still on her face as she surveyed her outfit. Black skinny jeans, knee high all-stars and a neon pink shirt. Her hair was tied up in a loose bun, her bangs pushed to one side of her face. She looked suitable enough to go outside. The last question was: where?
The girl collapsed on her couch as the possibilities ran through her head. The Beach was an excellent place to go on a sunny day. The cons of this would be not getting a place to sit. No matter what time of the day it was, being alone, the beach would quickly be mobbed, and as she was alone, her space would be taken quicker than you could say 'glorious'.
The public pool? Instantly the thought was removed from her mind. She hated public pools. She felt on display, and she hated the feeling of naked-ness she had when in front of strangers in a public pool.
Finally, after a couple of minutes worth of debating, her mind was set. The park. Not perfect, but it was a lovely place, and she could relax, and think. Think about what was another matter, undecided, but then Cameron usually was.
She slipped out of the house, a bounce in her step. The sun's rays bounced off of the trees and Cammie had to squint to see where she was going. It was pretty hard to immerse herself in her thoughts like she'd so planned. She sighed, continuing her small journey to the Park.
Thoughts. She didn't have many of them. She didn't really have any conflict in her life. Well, that wasn't strictly true. Not exactly conflict. More of a ... fear. She realised how badly she really didn't want to go to college. People seemed to forget her and most of the others in her Junior class when they moved up. Maybe they just didn't want to know them anymore. Cameron gasped as a theory struck her like lightning and she stopped, dead in the middle of the street.
Maybe ... maybe the college staff brainwashed the kids that moved up so they wouldn't talk to the high schoolers. A possibility! The college could be a torture ring, totally unknown to us or anyone going in! I need to spread the ne- A thought. Lilly still talked to her. So much for her theory. Perhaps they just wanted to move on.
Before she knew it, she had reached the park, and was already sitting on a swing before she'd even taken in her surroundings. She began to swing back and forth on the swing, her eyes scanning around for anyone and everyone she knew. It was beautiful, the day, but she'd rather share it with someone.
Anyone.
